FAMILY UPDATE - Week 7

I'm so amazed we're entering week 7 of my daughter and hubby's recovery from kidney transplant surgery. If you've been following along, you know we've compared it to a roller-coaster ride... without the fun!🎢

They both spent a bit more time coasting this week🙌🏼, but next week hubby is scheduled for a biopsy. Doctors hope to discover why the new kidney's not functioning as it should. All signs seem to point to the anti-rejection medication as a likely cause, but only a biopsy can apparently confirm that. Not the news we were hoping for, but I haven't given up my prayer for a 11th hour reprieve from God! No matter what happens though, I know He knows best. How sweet the peace in resting in His Sovereignty!

The good news is there is absolutely no indication of rejection and he has made it past the first critical 6-week point!

Our daughter is struggling with exhaustion; she wants more from her body than it's willing or able to give at this point. With three littles, a full-time job and ailing mother-in-law, it hasn't been easy. Unfortunately, we can't help like we normally do. With hubby's compromised immune system, kiddos are still a no-no... missing our grands and not being able to help may be the hardest part of all this! Prayers for her are greatly appreciated.

We are all looking forward to the week when we can say ALL IS GOOD! All things considered, we have so very much to be thankful for. Few things in life go as smoothly as we'd like, do they?

Grateful God is faithful to help us through them all!
