FAMILY UPDATE

If you've been following our family transplant story, thank you!
We continue to be so touched by your words of encouragement and prayerful support. My daughter shared this selfie (above) of her and hubs taken in the very early hours of the morning on the day of surgery. Thought you might enjoy seeing them!

It's been almost 6 weeks since our daughter donated a kidney to her dad. Happily, both hubby and daughter are doing well! They each still have unresolved challenges their doctors are monitoring, and aren't quite back to themselves yet- but all things considered, we are so grateful!

Hubby's kidney function is still considerably lower than it should be, which resulted in more testing and medication changes (and side effects) this past week. More invasive testing may be coming if things don't change soon. We're purposing to stay positive and continue to ask God for healthy kidney function and complete healing for them both, trusting in His Provision and His Timing... which often isn't in the timeframe- or way- we would choose! That's where true faith comes in, isn't it?!
