Stencil Idea #2 - Shimmer Mist

DIY Shimmer Mist with ink creates a tone-on-tone shimmery effect that is stunning in person. You just want to keep moving it to see how the light changes the look.

DETAILS

Die-cut the largest die from the SIMPLY SUCCULENTS Bundle to make a stencil with Basic White Cardstock
Cut a piece of colored cardstock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" {shown-Blackberry Bliss Cardstock}
Fill a Stampin' Spritzer about 2/3 full with Isopropyl [Rubbing] Alcohol. Add a few drops each of color-matched Ink Refill and Shimmer Paint {shown- Blackberry Bliss Ink with Frost White Shimmer Paint}
Layer stencil over cardstock, spritz several times letting the mist fall straight down; carefully remove stencil and allow cardstock to dry
Follow instructions here to make the card below
- The rear layer is Vellum Cardstock
  - Savvy Tips: I used glue to adhere the panels to vellum, which caused a little warping; I recommend Stampin' Seal or other double-sided dry adhesive. Also, if you use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere to the card front like I suggest, make sure to place them behind the panels so you won't see them.
- Sentiments are from PEACEFUL MOMENTS (a personal fave that could also be fun to stencil!)

ON A PERSONAL NOTE....

Life in the Beard house has changed a bit lately... I've added homeschool kindergarten teacher to my resume. Hubby and I now have our grandkids Monday - Friday, with 'class in session' each morning.
