Halloween is a popular day for birthdays in our family- mine included. Surprisingly, I think there's more celebrations tomorrow than any other day of the year. There was a whole lot of lovin' going on in February!

A: The Precision Base Plate (PBP) is designed to be used with intricate Thinlits dies, like most of the new Snowfall Thinlits Dies. 

While standard cutting plates may seem hard, they actually have a little flex in them- ideal for Framelits with a large center opening (like my favorite Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies). 

Intricate, detailed dies benefit from the firm pressure provided by the Precision Base Plate, which replaces the bottom cutting plate.  It really does makes a big difference in achieving a complete cut of all those intricate details.
