CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGN LIBRARY

Start with a template- also known as a sketch. Think of it as a blueprint for card construction. It shows you where to place the pieces, but you choose the type of pieces to use.

Use this printable tutorial in one of three ways...

• DIGITAL: For those that prefer digital, save the PDF Tutorial to a file on your computer or device, specifically for card ideas. (Pinterest boards are also a favorite way to collect ideas...see my Pinterest inspiration here)
  • Save the PDF Tutorial above and use Page 1 (shown above)
• HANDS-ON: If you prefer to have something to see and touch (me!), here's two choices...
  1. Print Page 1 of the Tutorial and save in a notebook that's easy to flip through.
  2. Print Page 2 of the Tutorial and create a 'master card template' with the design on the front, and 'recipe card' on the back. (my preference)
     • The template isn't a full card, just the front. For A2 cards, use a piece of cardstock 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".
     • Here's what the front and back of the template will look like....

I prefer using neutral colors (like Smoky Slate) for my templates, and recommend sealing them in a Clear Envelope to keep them protected... I've been using my templates for years and they're still like new. 

Next, get a crate, bin or box to store them in. 
Your 'Design Library' is now at your fingertips! The templates are your 'books', a ready reference tool to inspire you whenever you want!
