While I was working with the CHARMING SENTIMENTS Stamps & Dies, I realized I wanted a quick way to match the dies to the stamps... and came up with this solution!

Simply remove and photocopy the inside of the stamp insert. Then adhere (and trim) to any Magnet Card or Sheet and match the dies to the stamps...problem SOLVED!

I often get asked how I store my dies, so if you're wondering... I love these Stamp-n-Storage Magnet Cards (in both 5x7 and 6x7 sizes) which I store inside these 6x7 pockets in this bin (SNS also offers storage crates). Previously, I used magnetic vent covers, but I much prefer the Magnet Cards, as they have a stiff backing. I found magnet sheets bend easily, causing the dies to fall off- no fun!

SAVVY TOOL TIP!

What's the Color Lifter and how do I use it?

It's an alcohol marker containing a colorless solution. It's designed to 'remove' color from other Stampin' Blends Markers.

Use it to fix coloring mistakes, add highlights, lighten colors, create patterns and more!

DON'T SWEAT the OOPS!

In the example above, start the pen from above the mistake down to the outline of the leaf, coloring the entire mistake. 'Push' the color back where you want it (inside the leaf) by displacing the color with the colorless solution.

Do this a few times until the mistake is saturated. Let it dry- it's quick; repeat until all the color is removed!
PS. It's best to immediately correct mistakes😉

LIGHTEN COLORS & CREATE HIGHLIGHTS

The same principle of removing color can be used to lighten areas of color in the example above (from a project a few years ago).

See where the Color Lifter was applied on the top of the pumpkins and gourds and at the bends in the leaves on the corn?

CREATE PATTERNS & ACCENTS

See the reverse freckles and tummy highlight added to the hippo above? That's the Color Lifter in action!

Draw plaid, stripes or polka-dots on colored images like clothing or backgrounds... the ideas are only limited by your imagination!

BONUS SPOTLIGHT CARD IDEA!

Use the 3" x 3-1/2" scrap piece left after making this week's featured slimline cards to make the bonus card above!

Die-cut any part of the designer paper with a layering die of any shape... make sure there's one size die larger for Cardstock [I used Beautiful Shapes]
Color die-cut piece with Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers of choice to "spotlight" it! [Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sorbet, Granny Apple Green]
With one size larger layering die, die-cut coordinating cardstock [Basic Black]. Adhere designer paper, centered.
Adhere a 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" color layer of cardstock [Flirty Flamingo] to a [Basic White] 3-1/2" x 5" Note Card
Adhere leftover scraps of designer paper to equal 4-1/2" long (I cut second piece 1-1/2" long, reversed it and layered over 3-1/2" piece). Add die-cut + cardstock piece back into place, matching the pattern
Rub anti-static powder on Basic Black Cardstock, then stamp Charming Sentiments greeting with Versamark or White Craft Ink. Add White Stampin' Emboss Powder and melt with Heat Tool on 2. Cool and die-cut with coordinating die. Adhere with Stampin' Dimensionals
Embellish with 2022-24 In Color Matte Decorative Dots [Sweet Sorbet]
