SAVVY EMBOSSING HACK

Step up your embossing with this savvulous tip!

Rubbing [Isopropyl] Alcohol has so many uses in the craft room and one of my favorites is for embossing. It has the benefit of drying very quickly, creates less warping than water and if the smell bothers you- no worries, it disappears!

HOW TO! Fill a Stampin' Spritzer* and mist paper before embossing to soften the fibers. You'll get a more distinct, crisp embossed image that WOWS!

😉*Wrap a piece of Washi tape around the base to identify it from water!

Keep It Simple! (left): Stamp Hippest Hippo [freebie!] on Smoky Slate Cardstock with black ink; cut with Decorative Circle Punch. Layer over 2" x 4" piece of SUBTLES Designer Paper, wrapped with White Baker's Twine and adhere to Petal Pink A2 Card Base

Step It Up! (middle) Add a 4" x 5-1/5" cardstock layer embossed with the HIVE 3D Embossing Folder (try this week's savvulous tip!). Stamp Hippest Hippos and fussy-cut with Snips or die-cut with Hippo Dies [freebie!]; color with Watercolor Pencils. Add a 3" x 1" strip of contrasting designer paper and embellish with Sequins

Artfully Layered! (right): Apply Petal Pink ink with Blending Brush before embossing. Color hippo with Stampin' Blends Markers [Smoky Slate, Petal Pink, Polished Pink, Old Olive]. Add flower die-cuts from Hippo Dies [freebie!], embellish with Sequins
