Look what arrived yesterday?

The February Card Kit Supplies!

Ya'll loved this month's kit so much, OVER DOUBLE what I'd originally planned will be shipping to crafters all over the country! That makes my ❤️ sooo happy!

So today I'm busy compiling kits to ship Monday.
Caffeine may be involved... LOTS! 😂

Tutorials will be coming' in hot shortly after... crafty fun will arriving soon! (If you're interested in getting the tutorials only, they'll be released next week!)

Several crafty friends have asked recently how my hubby and daughter are doing, so I thought you might appreciate an update on their post-transplant story.

Gary's doctors continue to address his ongoing rejection issues. We now know the type of rejection he has is rare- so rare, his surgeon wants to write a medical paper on his case.

I always knew he was special, but this takes it to a whole new level!😬

The good news is his kidney function is better than it has been in a decade and he's been active with his favorite hobbies, mountain biking and hiking. The bad news is not-so-fun immune suppressing treatments continue, which means we continue to isolate ourselves and be hyper-vigilant to protect him. That includes limited exposure to the grandkids... certainly the hardest part!

Jessica is doing mostly well, but struggling with some post-Covid issues (not unlike many others) that we hope aren't related to her reduced kidney function. Seeing her struggle has been one of the hardest part of all this, but she has a great attitude and continues to persevere.

This certainly isn't where we expected to be 6-1/2 months post-transplant, but so much of life is like that, isn't it?

Expectations versus Reality

One thing I do know: the Lord is in control and worthy of our trust. We continue to place our faith in His provision, mercy and tender care. He is faithful to His children... even (or especially?) in circumstances we don't understand!

"We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose" Romans 8:28
